Doctors

Lawrence F Steinberg, DVM
Lawrence F Steinberg, DVM - Dr. Steinberg received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maryland in 1975 and received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Georgia in 1979. He opened Bayside Animal Medical Center in February of 1996 and, through the hard work of a dedicated staff, has seen the practice flourish into one of the premier animal care facilities in the area. Dr. Steinberg and his wife, Donna, currently reside in Millersville with their two daughters. Their pets include a Whippet named Tango and two cats, Chloe and Tucker.
Alexandra F. Bray, VMD
Alexandra F. Bray, VMD, CVA - Dr. Bray received her Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University in 1991 and received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 1996. Dr. Bray also studied acupuncture and herbal medicine at the Chi Institute, a leader in Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine in the United States. In 2008, Dr. Bray joined Dr. Steinberg as a partner at Bayside Animal Medical Center. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Greater Baltimore Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Bray resides in Severna Park with her husband, Jim, and their son and two daughters. They share their home with Jasper, a mixed breed, Lilly, a Pug, and two cats, Bear and Udi.
Sondra Oliver, DVM
Sondra Oliver, DVM - Dr. Oliver graduated from the Virginia-Maryland Regional School of Veterinary Medicine in 1999. She received a vet school award for compassion with homeless animals and care for gastrointestinal diseases. Dr. Oliver received a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology from Louisiana State University in 1985 and a degree in Pharmacology from Xavier University in 1987. She was previously employed at Johns Hopkins Oncology Center, working with cancer patients, before getting her veterinary degree. She currently lives in Baltimore with her husband, Charlie MacVicar and their eight cats, Georgie, Pris, Tabby Cat Joe, Cody, Casey, Sleeky, Nubbin and Sully, two Border Collies, Matty and Jezebel, and a Black Lab, Wiggins.
Karen Pierpont, DVM
Karen Pierpont, DVM - Dr. Pierpont received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Philippines in 1984 and completed her University of Pennsylvania Internship in 1985. She is a member of the Maryland Veterinary Association. Dr. Pierpont resides in Finksburg with her husband, Earle Flick, DVM , and their three dogs, Jackson, a Husky, Denali, a Schnauzer, Queenie, a Beagle, five cats, and two cows.
Jennifer Jones, DVM
Jennifer Jones, DVM - Dr. Jones received her Bachelor of Science degree from University of Massachusetts, graduating summa cum laude in Preveterinary Animal Science in1998. Her Honors research thesis focused on techniques used in equine reproduction. Dr. Jones received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in 2002 and was part of the specialized mixed large and small animal medicine program. A member of the American veterinary Medicine Association, Dr. Jones is certified in veterinary ultrasound by Sound Technologies and acts as a control veterinarian for equestrian endurance rides. Her primary veterinary interest is internal medicine. Dr. Jones resides in Annapolis with her two rescued dogs, Bella and Kaya, and two rescued cats, Julia and Madison.

Management

Dawn Sunstrom, Veterinary Receptionist Supervisor
Dawn Sunstrom, Veterinary Receptionist Supervisor - Mrs. Sunstrom has been a Veterinary Receptionist since 1990. She joined Bayside staff in 2001 and enjoys working everyday with the clients and their pets. She and her family currently reside in Pasadena. Their household pets include Jordan, Ivy, Mason, Isabella-smella, Salsalita Lucille, and Magoo. She has been breeding Yorkies for over five years.
Jessica Bates, Technician Supervisor
Jessica Bates, Technician Supervisor - Ms. Bates joined Bayside in 2005. She attended Community College of Baltimore County where she played soccer, and then attended Anne Arundel Community College to complete a veterinary assistant course. She and her family currently reside in Church Hill with their three dogs, Sable, a Pit Bull, Roxie, an American Bulldog, and Jackson, a Golden Retriever; five cats, Aspen, Reese, Whitman, Luke and Wilson; two goats, Mollie and Dolly; and a pot-bellied pig, Sydney.

Technicians

Sandy Magistrelli
Sandy Magistrelli - Sandy has been a Veterinary Technician at Bayside since 2000. She enjoys all aspects of her veterinary work at Bayside but specializes in customer care as well as assisting the Doctors with exams and treatments. She resides in Pasadena with her husband, Mark, and their two dogs, Chami, 18 years old, and Symba, 15 years old.
Jamie Johnson
Jamie Johnson - Jamie joined Bayside in 2005 with several years of experience working at veterinary hospitals. She is a Certified Nutritional Specialist for small animals. Jamie currently resides in Arnold with her Springer Spaniel, Dakota, two Yellow Labs, Ginger and Borat, her kitties Daisy, Duke, and Critter, and her cockatiel, Cheyenne.
Jessica Listman-Ward
Jessica Listman-Ward - Jessica joined Bayside in October of 2004. She currently is attending University of Maryland for a Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science and a minor in Equine studies, graduating in 2008. She is a member of the University of Maryland Equestrian Club, University of Maryland Veterinary Science Club, Sigma Alpha Agricultural Sorority, and a volunteer at Day's End Horse Rescue. She currently resides in Arnold with Gypsy, a Boston Terrier; four cats, Toni, Jimi, Luigi, and Patrick; and Hawk, a paint horse.

Caitlin Goodrich - Caitlin joined our team in 2007. She is a Junior at Severna Park High School and plans to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. She lives with her family and their Golden Retriever, Maggie, and a Yellow Lab, Egan.

Nicole Shorter - Nicole joined the Bayside team in 2008. She loves working with animals and is a certified dog trainer. Nicole lives with her husband Chris and their five cats, Spooky, Misfit, Azhara, Delilah, and Takai; two pit bulls, Feet and Shayla; and a couple fish.
 
Laura Wizbicki - Laura rejoined our team in 2008. She has been working with animals for years and has a loyal following from her grooming practice. We are glad to have her back.

Receptionists

Crystal Cuzzart
Crystal Cuzzart - Crystal has been with Bayside part-time since December 2002. She currently resides in Edgemere with her boyfriend and their four dogs, Champ, Abby, and Ivy, all Boxers, Mr. Jinx, a Cocker Spaniel, and two birds, Daisy and Squiggie. Crystal also works full-time for Anne Arundel County Public Schools-Maintenance Division as a dispatcher.
Ashley Carroll
Ashley Carroll - Ashley has been a veterinary receptionist since 2004. She has an Associate's Degree in general studies with focus in human service from AACC. She currently attends McDaniel College majoring in social work. She resides in Anne Arundel County with her dog, Hunter, a Golden Retriever Mix, and her hamster, Sweety.
Ashley Roseberry
Ashley Roseberry - Ashley joined Bayside in 2008 as a receptionist. She lives in Glen Burnie with her husband, Travis, three cats, Trista, Oliver, and Daisy, and a guinea pig.
 
Becky Zavorka - Becky has been working part-time at Bayside since 2007. Becky lives in Linthicum with her two dogs, Chico, a Chihuahua, and Stella, a Puggle.
Michele Wildes
Michele Wildes - Michele has come back to the Bayside team after a break for school. She lives in Severna Park with her husband and their two boys. They share their home with Bandet the Boxer, Stella, a Pit Bull Terrier mix, and two cats, Harley and Cosmo.
Amanda Pack
Amanda Pack - Amanda joined Bayside in 2008 as a receptionist. She has been working in the veterinary field since 2001 as a technician, vet assistant, and receptionist. Amanda resides in Laurel with her husband and two dachshunds, Mandy and Toby; two cats, Eddie and Stinker; Pushy the turtle; and her many freshwater fish. Since 2002, she has volunteered at the National Aquarium in Baltimore as an aquarist assistant and scuba diver.
